Pilling Tester

This instrument used for woven and knitted materials to determine resistance to pilling and change of appearance of fabric. Procedure: Fabric samples, firmly mounted on round moulded polyurethene tubes are rotated in the cork lined boxes for a preset number of revolutions. The duration of the test is determined by the class of fiber and fabrics. Specimen: Tester with two boxes. Boxes rotated at 60 r.p.m. driven by motor. Machine incorporates pre-settable electronic counter. | |
